Evidence
As far as evidence goes there is not much evidence that ever really supports a murder that Rulloff committed. No evidence was ever found of him poisoning his sister-in-law and her child or even killing his own wife and daughter. The poisoning of his family members had just looked like they were unable to bare the winter cold. they did not have the ability to do toxicology on a body back then. The bodies of his wife and daughter were never found. However, when he later writes a book about his life he admits to killing them except his daughter. He never admits to or even hints at killing his own daughter. In the case of the Halbert Bros. store robbery its a different story. Rulloff had left a pair of patent leather boots at the store. Rulloff, missing a few toes was forced to try the shoes on to see if a match was made. His feet fit perfectly with the feet impressions inside the shoes, providing the first solid evidence against Rulloff. |
Conclusion
